Are all of these parts compatible?

Postby oakdna1 » Mon Nov 28, 2016 12:12 am

Hi, this is going to be my first balisong knife I am going to build. I am going to use my own g-10 on top of the liners (3/16'). This is the list I made that I am thinking about purchasing.

5.375 Handle Liners
5/32 Steel Roller Bearing Brass Washer Set
5/32 by 7/16 No Threadlocker HEX Pivots for Asian 4mm Balisong
5/32 by 5/32 Handle Hardware with 2/56 standard thread (Spacers)
2.5mm stainless button head TORX screw 5.6mm length
NUT BOLT tang pins
ECC-TWISTER-PLAIN-245 (Blade)
Pocket Clip #2

It would mean alot if someone can help me choose the right parts for my balisong. Thank you in advance!

If you add liners you need longer pivots.
If you add bearings you need longer pivots.
If you are attempting both, then use the longest pivots listed.
If you use bearings you need to use wider spacers to keep the handles with the same spacing.
2/56 thread is STANDARD IMPERIAL THREADS.
2.5mm thread is METRIC.
Better learn the difference with STANDARD & METRIC, they are not the same and do not work together.
You can use any tang pins but have to adjust the handles to the thickness of the pins that you decide to use.
